The Tarantella of Life
The Tarantella of Life
Watercolor and Colored Pencil on Paper
32x52 cm
This work is inspired by the folk song Tarantella, about an Italian superstition that drinking wine, having warm soup, and dancing the Tarantella can cure a tarantula bite. This superstition teaches us a lesson to face challenges with positivity and lightheartedness. In the painting, a woman dancing with a tambourine on the stage represents someone who overcomes hardship. This artwork conveys that overcoming the pains of life through endurance and strength is an essential part of human life.
