Unspoken Ties

Oil painting on Canvas

Even though family members are the closest to us, we may not truly know each other. The different colors of each member’s faces symbolize individuality despite being part of the same family. The missing mouths represent a lack of communication and disconnection. The reflection of the faces on the soups symbolizes distorted views that we hold towards them. The jungle overlay in the background of the dining room symbolizes artificial harmony.
